Vaccine
Sexually active women can benefit from HPV vaccination, although efficacy may be reduced if they've had prior exposure to targeted HPV types. Most young women, however, still gain substantial protection. Pregnant women should avoid vaccinations. Even vaccinated individuals require regular cervical cancer screening, as vaccines don't cover all cancer-causing HPV types. Cervarix and Gardasil are two available vaccines, given in three doses over six months, costing around 2 to 3 thousand each. Consistent vaccination and screening are essential for comprehensive cervical cancer prevention.
